Education can transform lives of individuals leading to well being in households and thereby contentment in the society. One of the bottlenecks for genuine students to attain eligible education levels is the dearth of funds. Dr P.M Thomas Foundation envisions being a helping hand for brilliant students to circumvent financial constraints so that they achieve their visions. In the process we highlight the values of life to mould the beneficiaries as citizens of high integrity and social commitments.
All students from families below poverty line studying in Standard 8 upwards in any course are eligible to avail of scholarships from Foundation. No discrimination is applied on the basis of sex, religion or location of residence. Minimum marks/grade for the previous examination has to be 60%. Once joining our group students have to study harder and improve their grades every year, at minimum of 5% initially for those who fall in scores between 60% and 70%. For those who already scored above 70% the progress will be measured case by case. Commitments of integrity, honesty and good conduct are a must for applicants.
During the year 2018-19 budget is set to support 26 students with some specific allocation for students from families affected by floods in Kerala during August 2018.
